Children's Advocacy Centers of NC 

Children's Advocacy Centers of NC is a coalition of non-profit children's advocacy centers in NC and serves as the state Chapter of National Children's Alliance. CACNC's mission is to support local communities by assisting with the development, growth and continuation of centers to better serve abused and neglected children and their families.


National Children's Alliance 

The National Children's Alliance (NCA) is a national association dedicated to helping local communities respond to allegations of child abuse in ways that are effective and efficient and put the needs of child victims of abuse  first. As the accreditating body for the more than 700 Children's Advocacy Centers (CACs) around the country, NCA provides training, financial support, technical assistance, leadership, national advocacy and access to current research findings on a national level to CACs


Prevent Child Abuse NC 

Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina (PCANC) is the only statewide, nonprofit organization dedicated to the prevention of child abuse and neglect in all its forms and is a state chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America. PCANC has a thriving statewide Prevention Network consisting of over 200 organizations and volunteers working to implement critical child abuse prevention programs in their local communities. AWAKE,Inc. is a Jackson County Organizational Member of PCANC.


Region A Partnership for Children 

The Smart Start agency for Jackson County serves children birth to age 5, and promotes school readiness.  The agencie's goal is to build brighter futures and ensure that all of Region A's children, ages birth to five, arrive at school healthy and ready to succeed. The Region A Partnership for Children serves Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Haywood, Jackson, Macon, and Swain counties as well as the Cherokee Indian Reservation.
