Everyone, meet AWAKE’s newest employee, Tuck! Tuck is a seven month old labradoodle who will be joining our team this year. Next week, Tuck will leave for service training, where he’ll learn the skills to serve as our emotional support animal.

 

Tuck enjoys belly pets, ice cubes as treats, and getting the zoomies out of pure excitement when he meets someone new. Most importantly, Tuck loves kids! Following training, Tuck will be able to provide emotional support to our clients during their trips to our center, court preparation and meetings, and therapy visits.

 

Tuck has already been having fun around town. He has ridden on our float during the Sylva Christmas parade, run up and down the halls at the Sheriff’s Office, and he even met Santa Claus last month (he was on the very good boy list).

 

Tuck belongs to forensic interviewer and case manager, Maggie Grey. She will miss Tuck while he’s gone for training, but is endlessly excited for him to help kids for many years.
